Description
03Х20Н16АГ6 steel is used: for the manufacture of large welded tanks and vessels working under pressure at temperatures from -20 to +269 °C, of structures operating at cryogenic temperatures.

According to TU 14-1-2922-80 the chemical composition is presented for steel grade 03Х20Н16АГ6-Ш. The residual content of aluminum in steel, determined by the ladle sample, is not more than 0.040%. The permissible deviations in nickel are -0.50%, for manganese + 0.50%, for silicon + 0.20%, for chromium -1.00%.

Steel is welded without restrictions. To relieve residual stresses of welded assemblies operating at cryogenic temperatures used for tempering the air from 950-1050 °C (aged for at least 2.5 minutes/mm of maximum wall thickness, but not less than 1 hour). |
Macrostructure and pollution |
Macrostructure of steel 03Х20Н16АГ6-W on the other 14-1-2922-80 should not have traces of shrinkage, porosity, bubbles, delaminations, cracks, inclusions, visible without using the magnifying devices. Contamination of metal non-metallic inclusions is determined from each heat and shall not exceed (maximum score): - sulfides - 1 point; - stroke oxides, silicates plastic - 2 points; the point oxides, silicates fragile - 1.5 points; - nitrides and carbonitrides - 3 score. |
