Plrd alloy 90-10 (Plrd-10; PR-10)
Designation
Description
Plrd 90−10 alloy used: for the manufacture of semi-finished products (sheets, tapes, strips, foils, wire, pipes, profiles, forgings) by hot or cold deformation used in instrument and apparatus building; thermocouples; laboratory glassware; hardware; glass vessels; mesh woven wire and smooth twill weave, used in chemical industry and scientific purposes; thermoelectrodes of thermoelectrical transducers.
Note
Platinum-rhodium alloy.
Standards
Chemical composition
Pt is the basis.
According to GOST 13498-79, GOST 13498-2010, the total content of palladium, iridium, and gold in the alloy should be ≤ 0.15%. The sum of all the standard impurities (palladium, iridium, and gold, as well as silicon, lead, antimony and zinc) should be ≤ 0.19%.
According to GOST 10821-2007 the chemical composition is given for the alloy grade PR-10. The chemical composition indicates the nominal mass fraction of the components. As starting materials, platinum and rhodium are used with a mass fraction of the main component of at least 99.95% in accordance with GOST 31290 and GOST 12342.
