Description

Material overview

NH9.5 is a nickel-chromium thermocouple-alloy designation encountered in regional standards and legacy instrument documentation. Thermocouple materials are purchased as a matched system: alloy name, polarity, calibration relationship, tolerance class and operating environment must be confirmed together.

Product forms and sourcing

Requirements can be reviewed for bare wire, rod and other available semi-finished forms. Provide diameter, coil or straight-length requirement, surface condition, annealed or other condition, quantity and packaging. Insulated extension or compensating cable is a different product and must be identified separately.

Evek LLC reviews each requirement against the requested grade, specification, form and quantity. Availability is confirmed during quotation; website text is not a stock or compliance guarantee.

Specification and substitution

Do not assume that a trade name or similar nickel-chromium composition establishes compatibility with a Type K, Type E or another thermocouple system. Thermoelectric response, mating leg, calibration limits and the governing standard control selection. Replacement material should be approved against the instrument specification.

The purchaser remains responsible for material selection, design approval and confirmation that the specified material is suitable for the finished component and service environment.

Information required for a quote

Send the exact designation and standard, intended thermocouple pair, polarity if known, diameter, condition, quantity, temperature range, atmosphere, tolerance or calibration requirement, certificate and lot-traceability needs, packaging and U.S. delivery ZIP code.
