Cast iron CHVG45
Designation
Description
Cast iron CHVG45 used: for the manufacture of parts operating under significant mechanical stress, in conditions of friction, wear, hidrocapital, and in case of high cyclic thermal loads; buildings helical gears; pistons and liners of internal combustion engines (ice); the housings of the hydraulic equipment of high pressure; the eccentric gears.
Standards
Chemical composition
Fe is the basis.
According to GOST 28394-89, the chemical composition is given for pig iron grade ЧVG45. The residual content of the sum of rare-earth elements (REM) in cast iron should be in the range of 0.10-0.20%. For the production of wear-resistant and heat-resistant pearlitic HRG, it is permissible to alloy cast iron of the grade ЧVG45 with nickel 0,80-1,20% and molybdenum 0,20-0,40%.
