Evek GmbH offers to buy AISI 434 (1.4113) low-carbon stainless steel sheet and strip at supplier prices. It is cost-effective and practical to buy sheets of this steel with delivery to any point on the map specified by the customer, as the metal is supplied in any assortment of lengths and diameters.

Composition and properties

AISI 434 (1.4113) steel is produced in accordance with several world standards - European Union, North American and British. According to UNS standards, the chemical composition of the steel in question includes the following components:

Component С Cr Mn Ti Si Ni Al Fe
Percentage content Not more than 0.03 17...19 Not more than 1,0 0,2...1,1 0.2 0.1 1.1 No more than 1.0 Not over 0,5 Not more than 0.5 The rest

Upon agreement with the customer an economical alloyed version of this steel is also produced, where the upper molybdenum content limit is reduced to 1.2%. As metallurgical impurities in steel composition there are sulfur and phosphorus (sulfur - not more than 0,03%, phosphorus - not more than 0,04%). In electric arc smelting the percentage of sulfur can be halved, which is stipulated by the initial requirements of the customer for the chosen metallurgical production process.

According to current European standards the closest analogue of this steel is X6CrMo17-1 steel, which has less stringent requirements for carbon percentage (up to 0.1% is allowed).

Rolled sheets of AISI 434 (1.4113) are mainly produced using hot rolling technology, which is associated with lower energy costs. If necessary, cold drawing of sheet and strip is possible, as well as rolling, but with the use of subsequent annealing.

Application

Due to the relatively low cost of production, rolled from this steel is widely in demand for the manufacture of parts for measuring instruments and equipment, which is at risk of corrosion, in particular at elevated temperatures. Cold-formed sheets are subjected to pickling to reduce the likelihood of surface corrosion.

Steel is well processed by cold pressure: it can be deep drawn, bent with a calibrating impact, and punched to a complex contour.

During heat treatment, the steel slightly increases its initial hardness, since during hardening an increased number of nitrides and carbides are formed.

Bands are produced in a thickness range of 2...10 mm, wound on spools, with a width of 915...1024 mm. This makes it possible to carry out multi-row high-capacity stamping on automatic machines. Sheet products are produced in the same range of section sizes, with a sheet length of 9...12 m.

To buy AISI 434 (1.4113) low-carbon stainless steel sheet and strip from Evek GmbH means to get high quality stainless steel, because each batch is thoroughly controlled and provided with the appropriate certificate.
