Evek GmbH offers to buy AISI 434 (1.4113) stainless steel tubes, wires, circles with reduced carbon content. It is convenient and economical to purchase bulk rolled products made of such steel, because the supplier organizes steel delivery to any required point. Delivery can be made in any wide range of sizes and profiles.
Chemical composition
AISI 434 (1.4113) steel is a popular type of low carbon stainless steel, which is produced according to several world and European standards. The most common is the following chemical composition:
Alloying component. | С | Si | Mn | Cr | Mo | Fe |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Percentage content | Not more than 0,08 | Not more than 1.0 | Not more than 1,0 | 16...18 | 0,9...1,4 | the rest |
On customer request tubes, wires and rounds of AISI 434 (1.4113) can also be produced in an economical alloyed version, in which the percentage of molybdenum can be reduced by 0,2%, and with a higher degree of chemical refining, which halves the percentage of sulphur in the finished product. This is achieved by smelting the feedstock in electric arc furnaces instead of flame furnaces. In addition to sulfur, as an inevitable metallurgical impurity in the steel AISI 434 (1.4113) also contains phosphorus, whose content in the finished rolled steel does not exceed 0.04%.
According to UNS Euro-norms the nearest analogue of this steel is X6CrMo17-1. From North American standards this steel is characterized by less stringent standards that relate to the percentage of carbon, its content in steel can be up to 0.1%.
GOST 5632 considers steel 12X17M as the closest analogue, which has a wider tolerance for the upper limit of carbon percentage (up to 0,12% is allowed).
Volumetric rolled products from AISI 434 (1.4113) are produced mainly by hot rolling technology, the exception is the wire: due to its sufficient plasticity the material can be drawn and drawn at room temperature. This process is accompanied by a natural strengthening of the steel. If necessary, bulk rolled steel may be supplied in an annealed condition.
Application of
Bar, tube and wire of steel AISI 434 (1.4113) is characterized by a relatively low cost, so it can be used for a variety of fasteners - bolts, screws, nuts, rivets - as well as bulk connecting elements of equipment and pipelines that operate at high temperatures. There is practically no intensity of corrosion processes in the temperature range of 300...4000 C.
AISI 434 (1.4113) steel has good machinability by cutting and pressure. Depending on the degree of deformation, both hot and cold forging are possible without intermediate annealing (except for extrusion of complex semi-finished products). Mechanical processing must be carried out with tools made of high-speed steels. During the subsequent heat treatment the initial hardness values of the steel in question are somewhat increased, which should be taken into account when designing the technology of its processing.
To get tubes, rods and wires made of stainless steel AISI 434 (1.4113), using the proposal of Evek GmbH, profitable and convenient. The goods are characterized by maximum uniformity of physical and mechanical properties in the entire batch, which is guaranteed by the attached quality certificates.
