Chromel strip: avoid grade substitution

Chromel is associated with the positive leg of a Type K thermocouple when manufactured and calibrated to the applicable standard. Nicrosil belongs to the different Type N material pair; it should not be substituted simply because both alloys contain nickel and chromium. For strip applications, identify the approved grade, chemistry, dimensions, processing condition and whether a thermoelectric test is actually required.
