CrN32T steel refers to heat-resistant alloys with a long service life. This steel wire is produced in diameter from 0,016 to 12 mm and is widely used in petrochemical engineering for parts of high-temperature installations working at 700-850ºС.
Chemical composition of the wire is regulated by GOST 5632-72.

Basic properties
Alloy KhN32T is more heat-resistant than chromium. And this is not its only advantage. One of the most important advantages is the high electrical resistance of 1.05-1.4 Ohmxmm²/m which allows the successful use of such a wire in the manufacture of heating elements. This alloy has a density of 8.16 g/cm³ under normal conditions. CrN32T wire is characterized by cryogenic stability, strength (ultimate tensile strength - 0.65-0.70 GPa) and form stability.

Its resistance to corrosion makes this wire in demand, especially where resistance in aggressive environments is needed. It does not oxidize under prolonged use and high temperatures and is ductile, which is why it is so popular for the manufacture of industrial and household appliances. It is stable in an oxidizing atmosphere of nitrogen and ammonia, but unstable in an environment of sulfur compounds, which is its main disadvantage. KhN32T wire is used in electric heaters of industrial furnaces - electric firing and drying furnaces, in household appliances, apparatuses of thermal action. It is used in resistor elements and rheostats, as well as in the manufacture of parts for vacuum devices, soldering irons of high reliability. It can also be used as a heating and cutting element in packing thermal knives, for sealing packages, in domestic and industrial water and air heating systems. When making a spiral, the length of the wire is determined based on the required capacity. Increased plasticity of the material allows it to be soldered at low temperatures, which significantly reduces energy costs. Also, due to its heat resistance, this material is used as a chemically resistant alloy in certain aggressive environments. This wire has found the widest application in petrochemical engineering.
