Production

According to GOST 17 232-99 dural plate has a solid rectangular profile with a thickness of 10 mm. The most commonly used alloy D16 for production. The composition is normalized by GOST 4784-97, composition control - GOST 24 231-80. The manufacturing accuracy is normal, the quality of surface finish is standard.

Marking

Unplated board without heat treatment usually does not have additional marking or can be designated by letter B. Annealed with normal cladding is additionally marked with A. M. Hardened and naturally aged boards are marked with T. Hardened and naturally aged boards with normal cladding are marked with A. T. Thickened cladding is marked U, Refined dural plate - P. The microstructure of the plate after heat treatment must not have traces of scorching. After the treatment the sheet is tested.

Advantages

Good machinability with mechanical tools, formability is good for spot welding. The corrosion resistance of the material improves after cladding with pure aluminum. Cold deformation, hardening, aging are used to harden the plate.

Application of

Due to high specific strength, duralumin plates are used in the construction of high-speed transport: trains, ships, transport aircraft, building structures. Such plates are actual in construction, machine-building and fuel energy industry.
