Small scandium additions can refine grain structure and improve selected strength and processing characteristics in aluminum alloys. Results depend on the complete alloy chemistry, scandium content, processing route and heat treatment; a nominal aluminum-scandium description is not a complete purchase specification.

Master alloy or finished alloy product

State whether the requirement is for an aluminum-scandium master alloy, casting, billet, bar, forging or another finished form. Provide the required scandium range, base-alloy designation, governing standard, dimensions, condition, quantity and inspection documents.
