Composition and properties

Sheet, strip and foil of stainless heat-resistant grade 20X13 have high strength corrosion resistance, plasticity. They are produced in accordance with GOST 5632- - - - - - 72. The composition of 12-14% chromium, 0.6% of manganese, nickel and silicon, 0.16 - 0.25% of carbon, the thousandth percentile of phosphorus and sulfur. The remainder is iron. This steel is of martensitic class, its melting point is 1320-1350 ° C. The plasticity and heat resistance enable sheet metal to be used at 550°C for parts subjected to vibration and shock loads. Sheet, strip, foil also withstands short-term heating up to 700 °C. resistant to the action of soil and atmospheric moisture, organic acids, weak solutions of nitric acid.

Processing

Temperature range of hot deformation is from 1100 to 900 °C with cooling in air. At 750 to 800 °C, a softening annealing is carried out with holding in the furnace at 500 °C. For hardening, heating to 950 - 1000 °C with cooling in oil is required. Welding is carried out by electric arc and argon arc manual or automatic welding. If sheet thickness is more than 10 mm, preheating to 250-400 °C and final heat treatment to remove residual stresses is desirable.
