St4kp / VSt4kp structural steel

St4kp, also written VSt4kp or ВСт4кп, is a rimmed carbon structural-steel designation. It is used for rolled angles, channels and other sections, welded, riveted or bolted structures, general engineering parts, tube and pipe, and selected rail-related products under the applicable specification.

Designation and condition

The “kp” suffix identifies the rimmed or low-deoxidation condition. Chemical composition, mechanical properties, deoxidation practice, dimensions and delivery condition must be checked against the governing GOST or customer specification. Similar-looking designations should not be assumed to be interchangeable.
