Description
Steel 3 is used: for the manufacture of tires of trucks and shunting locomotives and tenders Railways of 1520 mm (used only by agreement between manufacturer and consumer).

The steel must be subjected to secondary treatment by blowing nitrogen, argon or vacuum.

Chemical composition
Fe is the basis.
According to GOST 398-96, the content of molybdenum is not more than 0.08%, nickel is not more than 0.25%, chromium is not more than 0.20%, copper is not more than 0.30%. The total content of sulfur and phosphorus should not be more than 0.065%. The total content of chromium, nickel and copper should be at least 0.30%. In the finished tires, the maximum deviations in chemical composition are allowed in accordance with the requirements of GOST 380.
