Chemical composition
Fe is the basis.
According to GOST 4832-95, cast iron is divided into 3 groups according to the manganese content: I group ≤0.30%, II group 0.30-0.50%, III group 0.50-1.00%; by the content of phosphorus is divided into 2 classes: class A ≤0,080%, class B ≤0,12%; on the content of sulfur is divided into 2 categories: 1 category ≤0.0050%, 2 category ≤0.010%. Cast iron may be produced with a mass fraction of silicon of more than 3.60%.
