Production of stainless taps
GOST 17 375-2001 regulates geometry of taps, standard sizes, bend radius (usually R=1,5D), steel grade and application - up to 100 atm. As a rule, domestic stainless steel taps are seamless with thick walls. Imported stainless elbows are made of electric-welded pipes and have a seam which is invisible from outside, but easily detected inside. Compared to seamless taps, the walls of imported ones are thinner at the same diameter and can withstand less pressure. For production use steel grades - 12X18H10T, 304 AISI, 304L AISI, less often: 10X17H13M2T, 316 AISI, etc.

Application
Bends have bend angles of 45, 60, 90, 180 degrees (other angles may be made under the order), but the most typical bend is 90 °.
