Applications for aluminum alloys

AD and AD-1.

These are ductile alloys with high heat and electrical strength and good weldability, resistant to corrosion. They are not suitable for heavy load bearing structures. They are used for various pipes and electrical wires, stained glass windows, room dividers, window and door frames, watch and appliance cases, jewelry and souvenirs, deck tops of sea and river vessels, wrappers, tanks etc. They are suitable for riveting moderately loaded structures made of magnesium and aluminium alloys with increased corrosion resistance.

AMZ

This alloy is used for weldedpiping and liquid tanks, as well as other lightly loaded components; products made by deep drawing, bending , etc. Suitable for riveting medium-loaded structures made of magnesium and aluminium alloys with increased corrosion resistance.

AMg2

Welded and riveted structures, various pipes, liquid tanks and other medium- and low-loaded items: stained glass windows, room dividers, window and door frames, clock and appliance cases, ship decks, wrapping, etc . The wire is suitable as an additive material for rivet production.

AMgZ

Welded lightly loaded structures that are resistant to corrosion: pipelines, tanks for liquids, stained glass windows and partitions, window and door frames, clock housings and instruments, deck tops.

AMg5, AMg5 B and AMg6

Welded and riveted medium loaded structures, with high corrosion resistance: pipelines, liquid tanks and other similar products.

D16 and D16P.

Used in structures with increased strength and durability under alternating loads, for example in aviation. Suitable for building structures that do not require special resistance to corrosion, for building trusses, for structural elements designed for heavy loads, with the exception of stampings and forgings. Alloy D16 is replaced with alloy B95 in heavily loaded parts. Rivets are placed in the structure in a freshly hardened state (not later than half an hour after hardening). Structures are designed to operate at temperatures up to 250 °C.

AD31 and AD3Z.

Used in riveted and laminated constructions of complex shape, where the high yield strength is required and for hollow sections of complex shaped pressed products.

AK4 and AK4-1.

They are used for compressor blades and impellers, rings and disks of turboprops and turbojet engines, pistons and forged parts that are used at elevated temperatures.

AK6 and AK6-1.

Suitable for forged and stamped medium-strength complex-profile parts (small and large impellers, engine frames, fasteners, fittings , etc. parts).

AK8

A high-strength alloy, but difficulties in hot work by pressure limit its application. It is used for stamped and forged parts working under considerable loads such as under-engine frames, spar belts, butt joints.

B95 and B95-1.

Suitable for structures permanently operating under load at temperatures up to 120 °C. Cladding and spars of airplanes, ribs, stringers, power frame of riveted building structures. Alloy B95-1 is used to produce stamped blades.
